This thread seems to be talking about different things – so I need to get clarification if possible.
When you comment on this thread please state if you want “gift certificate support”, meaning a template to print them or something, and maybe a way to track the balance – OR -
“gift card support via Vantiv” where you have to buy magstripe cards with your design, have a Vantiv account, and deal with loading / checking balances / and the regulation that goes along with being required to allow people to cash out/etc.
We can refer to these as “basic gift certificates” or “magstripe gift cards” in the comments.
Feel free to say you want both! :)
The Vantiv “gift card support” is a fairly large project that we would need to see a lot of votes to get going.
A basic gift certificate tracking system might be simpler and…
An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedFor me it's more of an issue surrounding store credit. Since that is basically what a gift card is it would be better for me to have a solution that helps manage store credit. I have not been able to think through a solution but I think the "gift card" issue at this time could be an overhaul of the store credit feature. That could include printing off store credit barcodes that could be affixed to a sheet of paper/plastic.

An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedYes! This makes so much sense! It would lessen the amount of customers that seemingly have no transactions.

An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedThis would also help make the actions taken by employees easier to track in the Performance Report because they can be more granular and specific.

An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedI like the idea of being able to see customers on a map without a specific address. We only get zip codes so being able to see a visual representation of that would be great.

An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedAre you talking about being able to rearrange the ticket status grouping? You can click "Due Date" at the top of the screen and it will sort tickets by Due Date but it will not rearrange the grouping.

An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedAnother alternative would be to have a blank option on the ticket status page so that we can select a blank option from a drop down menu.

We’re considering building a light version of this to work with RepairShopr’s calendar.
An error occurred while saving the comment August commentedWe started using When I Work because of added features but my techs are having a hard time to remember to use another program instead of the integrated solution. Any improvements to the time clock could be very useful!

I would think that there are many other suppliers that have a full inventory that directly relates to our needs more than Amazon. At most amazon/ebay are for one off orders, not basing your entire inventory system on. The purpose of ifixit and other integrations is to import their catalogue so it is easier to track and reorder parts. I would think other companies would be better as options including an accessory provider such as Voicecomm.
