  1. Pricing Tiers for Inventory Parts

Whenever we obtain parts from different vendors, the pricing at which they sell us the parts may differ and we adjust our retail price accordingly.

It would be ideal if we can have different pricing tiers depending where we obtain the part from.

    Example:

X Vendor sells part for $20, we sell part to customer for $30
Y vendor sells that same part for $15, we sell part to customer for $25.

The main idea is that the part in the example is the same part, but was obtained from a different vendor which is why the price is different.…

  2. Mailtracking

We currently use Copper CRM and they have built in mailtracking for outgoing emails from within App. On top of that, we use Gsuite and I have a paid Mailtrack Pro account for my Gmail.

Having outgoing email from RS being tracked and reported would be awesome. Also when sending to clients from within Gmail or other email client, setting a BCC addy that goes back to RS and adds that correspondence to the client account communication record.

  4. Create a robust ticketing system for refurbs

Hello everyone. I would like to suggest a more robust refurb section. Something similar to the current ticketing system when creating repairs. Things I would love to see in in it:

Referb Ticket page and refurb ticket labels
    Worksheets
    Status and updates
Optional custom sections for more details as needed
Have worksheets be printable with large ticket.

  5. update tickets with status changes

When a ticket status is changed, the ticket should mark who changed it to what. I.E If I were to resolve a ticket, the ticket should be updated with my name and that I changed the status to resolved.

  6. Allow estimates to be set to 'history' or disabled

We have it so inventory allocated to an estimate is taken from available stock. Would be handy if there was an option to either deactivate the estimate, or set it to history to let us keep the estimate for reference (rather than deleting) and unallocate inventory...unless there a setting that already allows this?

  7. Have an end date for reoccuring invoices

Can a field be used to specify an end date for reoccurring invoices (Without having to assign it to a contract, etc). Additionally, where you specify how often to run, can you have the option of "Once" along with annually, bi-annually, monthly, etc.

  8. Flag when a duplicate part number is created

I've been adding a lot of new part numbers to our system and have found I have unwittingly duplicated a few...is there an option to warn when a duplicate part number (in the 'name' field) has been created (much in the same way it wont let you save without a description)?

  9. Ability to supply per_page parameter on API endpoints

The fact that the endpoints have a set per_page amount hardcoded for pagination makes things very inefficient. For example, we have over a hundred products in a particular category and our web application uses the RepairShopr API (proxied) to retrieve a list of all those products.

Since the static per_page value the API uses is 20, it means the application can only retrieve 20 per call. So it ends up doing like 15+ calls and taking over 30 seconds to load the basic data it needs.

If the client could specify how many records to return per page, it would…

  10. Create a system for logging broken parts

It would be great to be able to account for parts that break during a repair.

I asked about this in the past and was simply told to add the broken item onto the customer's invoice, I really don't like the sound of that and think there must be a better way. If you had a new trainee and they accidentally damaged three parts that cannot then be returned under warranty this needs accounting for in your reports and I don't feel that publicly shouting about this to the customer is the best way.

If there were a specific section…

  11. Let users on the RSLite app add new estimates

RSLite does not let you create new estimates from within the app while in a ticket. We have field estimators on tablets and it would be beneficial to let them use the streamlined app rather than the website as it can be clunky on a touch screen.

You also can not view invoices/estimates from within a ticket.

  13. Tag other users in ticket notes.

We need the ability to tag other users like technicians or office staff in tickets. Our procedure for device repair involves more than one person sometimes, and currently there is no way I can tag someone else to go look at a tickets notes if they need to be involved.

  14. Add option for PDF attachment when sending estimate emails via API

I can hit POST /api/v1/estimates/{id}/email to send an estimate email to a customer however it doesn't provide an option to include an estimate PDF attachment like the RepairShopr UI does.

This is unfortunate because our estimate email design does not accommodate for lineitems - we always send it with the PDF attachment when sending via web and the email itself says "We've attached your estimate to this email"

  16. Asset retirement / archiving

I was trying to archive/hide old, defunct assets no longer in use for a particular client (they have new ones I'm managing), but there doesn't seem to be a way. I don't want to "merge" them with current endpoints, nor do I want to delete them, as they're attached to existing (albeit long-closed) tickets.

Any chance we could get the option to "archive" or otherwise hide assets that are no longer used or accessible? Would also be useful for when clients are archived, say after offboarding. I don't have hundreds (thousands, etc) of assets to track, so it's not critical…

  17. Notifications - Item Retail Price

I hope this is not an already existing feature of RS, although I couldn't find something similar.

An easy way for multiple shops and their customer service personnel to be aware of any changes in retail prices, would be to send an email notification whenever a price has changed. This would keep everyone up to date, and avoid customer misunderstandings.

  18. Expansion on auto-generate serial numbers

Great addition. We can unfortunately not use it, as our serial numbers consist of two letters (abbreviation of vendor's name), the date and then the numeric sequence of the parts - for example:
    AB2110201
    AB2110202
    and so forth.

It would be great if the auto-generate serial number function could be expanded to include some different formats, rather than long random numbers.

It would also be awesome if this function could be expanded to populate the serials of all the items on a purchase order, rather than only one line item at a time.

    Thanks.
