Google contacts/carddav support
Would be nice to have Google contacts/carddav support. This would make it easier to call or email customers from my phone/computer, and let me know which customer is calling my cell phone.
Marking complete as supported by the zapier integration.

Hi Troy,
we would love to test it out.

Yeah, we're finding difficulty with no sync as well. We're probably 70% field service calls and the iOS app doesn't seem to work very well... we either can't find known existing contacts in search, or at best, it's slow and kludgy. We need notes and we need to know who's calling... we've been manually exporting RS contacts and importing into Google Contacts, but that's not ideal, or reliable. We want technicians to put in notes in the field, but a mobile website has so many drawbacks to it.
We're going to stick it out for a bit, but we need at least some functioning syncing if we're going to stay aboard...

This is exciting, we were looking at things like FullContact, but if this can be integrated with Google Contacts it would be excellent. Best of luck getting through the Google APIs

Is there any update on this?

As others have said Google Contacts acts is definitely a big deal... I haven't signed up yet but would definitely do so if it had Google Contacts.
Possibly you could use zapier or full contact or something of the sort to at least have a plug in that supports Google Contacts?

We have been looking at migrating to Repairshopr for a long time now. Every time we look at it again - contacts syncing ends up being the deal breaker that keeps us from migrating.

Full contact seems to be pretty powerful managing 5K Google Contacts and has full house of APIs, you will integrate in no time - https://support.fullcontact.com/knowledgebase/topics/26062-fullcontact-developer-api

Additionally, I use Zapier for a lot of things. I was experimenting with RS and Zapier with your sync to QuickBooks when adding a new contact, thus triggering a zap "when add contact to quickbooks, add to Google/O365 contacts." Problem is, notes don't come over. I really want to find out a way to get contact info and notes history from RS to either O365 contacts or Google Contacts.

This is critical for me. I'm still on trial with RepairShopr and most of my revenue comes from field techs. I need to have customers synced to contacts so when a customer calls, we get their name on caller id on their cell phones. Additionally, accessing notes on a mobile website isn't ideal.

Based on your connectivity with Google Cloud Print and Google Calendar, automatically syncing RepairShopr customer information (i.e. name, phone number(s), and email address) with Google Contacts would be a wonderful addition. RepairShopr users could have those contacts available almost instantaneously on their smart phone, should they so choose.

Hmm.. In the Zapier style guide they suggest not having a trigger for "Updated" - like "Contact Updated", so I could imagine people being frustrated that contacts are out of sync. https://zapier.com/developer/documentation/style-guide/ about half way down the page. Let me know if "Customer Created" or similar would still be ok?
Or - what Zapier triggers would people get the most use out of?

No idea if it would work but came across IFTTT a while ago too

zapier is a REALLY good idea.. I looked in to that about a year ago and just put it off for whatever reason, I'll look again. Thanks!

Just a thought. Would it be easier to use Zappier? I have QBO syncing with Repair Shopr....then a Zappier "Zap" which syncs the QBO contacts to my Google Contacts.....
Maybe looking into working with Zappier.....not too familiar with API's or programming, so this is just my 2 cents... :)

Maybe we should all have a brainstorm of possible syncing protocols?

Google's lack of development in gapps is making me want carddav, caldav and webdav more lately. We used egroupware previously, DAV is awesome. Also allows groups (not just uses) to have contacts (great for sharing on phone)

Would Aldi like this. It is the only reason I dont use your software yet. I am interested in syncing customers to Google contacts with a label called repairshopr as example. So that repairshopr is offcourse the main database and syncs one way to Google contacts.
Its worth a couple of dollars extra a month for me for sure
