Closing a ticket with a customers signature.
It would be great to be able to have place where a customer and sign to show that they have picked up their product. In turn, this would automatically close out the ticket in the system. We have ran into issues where customers claim they didn't pick up items and this would prevent any such situations.
Hey everyone, great news!
This feature has been added and we really need your feedback!
We added an Outtake Form in a similar setup to the Intake Form. Please head over to Settings, Tickets, Enable Outtake Form and you’ll be able to see it on Tickets and it will prompt you during the “Ticket → Invoice → Payment → Handle Related Ticket” flow.
It will be in Autoprintr shortly, and the mobile apps. (By end of next week)
Let us know here in the comments if you think it could/should do something else!

Is this possible yet or not? We are still interested in this feature. Mike not completely sure what you mean. Could you elaborate more?

add a pickup verification box that only populates if the ticket is closed and the invoice is paid then have them sign off on this

This could be accomplished with an additional signature form once this related idea is finished. Please vote for it here! http://feedback.repairshopr.com/forums/165658-general/suggestions/13721247-custom-signature-forms-for-additional-agreements

I agree with this. I used to have this with my old system. It was to avoid relatives picking up a system and then the owner of the system saying they never picked it up.

We have the customer sign the Paid Invoice with Topaz, that signifies they picked up their PC. Would that not work for you?

To accomplish this we've just added a signature box to the ticket template that we print when checking in the job. Then on collection the customer signs it. It would be great to have this saved in RS however like you can when the customer signs the intake form.

this would be awesome so they cannot deny recieving the work

Ditto. We need a way a customer can sign for collection and that they accept T&C. We keep one copy and they take one away. Our copy could be in RS or we could print it.

I would like to capture a customer's signature when they pickup their device so we have proof it was picked up so they cannot say we lost their item.

This would be great

We would really like to have this as well. Our old software provided for it. It is really good for repairs. Sometimes the repair is paid for upfront so the invoice method doesn't work and we really would like a signature to show that they received all their property back for liability reasons. Believe it or not it saved us once in court on our old software when someone claimed they never got their repaired computer back.

Great idea, I too have had too many customers claim they did not pickup their property and initiate charge-backs.

Invoice signature works to an extent, but if we are ordering parts for people, we make them pay upfront. That keeps it from working everytime.

Ryan, I think the author of this was mainly referring to "Resolving" the ticket when signed/picked up, whether this is on the invoice or other.

This will be great if the time stamp show up when signed.

@Terry: What do you think about using the "invoice signature" as your final step? We make the customer sign when they provide payment, and we only take payment at pick up. Seems to work pretty well, and wouldn't require any new features besides maybe a date/time stamp on the invoice signature.

This is definitely a great idea. Would be great to have a dated record with a customer's signature when goods are picked up.

We use the invoice signature to show if someone has picked something up. If you could add a date stamp when the signature is added that would be great to know when they picked it up.
