Tie RMA to inventory item
Right now the RMA system is just to keep records of needing to return a part but it does not change the inventory amount. To make the RMA system more effective it would be great if an RMA request would change the inventory amount and if there was a way to have an RMA report.
We have completed the beta of the new returns module, it covers this. It will be evolving a bit, but check it out if you are a beta tester now!

It wll be great if we can export to CVS the filter result of purchase order and return manager!
Thx

This would be great function. If the inventory line item details included an RMA flag so that at a glance you could see the in/out line details similarly like a sale and refund.

I agree that this should be another high priority. Currently we have to rely on employees to remember to subtract RMA parts from inventory and there is no way for us, as owners to track these RMAs. We really have no idea if the parts are being stolen or accidentally broken upon installation, etc. It would be ideal to have the RMAs immediately entered into the system along with a "reason code" and vendor. This way we could track the parts and be sure the right amount of parts are being returned to the vendors and that the refund matches the RMA count. It truly is an imperative update as this impacts day to day operations/inventory counts and the bottom line.

Regarding the RMA section problem, this is certainly the biggest issue we are struggling since day one we started to use your system, so please forward it to the right department of your team, please help me to drag enough attention to this issue.
The lack of the proper RMA section is causing the following issues at the moment:
- Inaccurate quantities of inventory items
- unnecessary accusations of theft
- unexpected delays of repairs (the systems shows that we have a working part in stock but that could be just a faulty one)
- damaging reputation of the businessBasically in our shop, technicians are not aware of certain details of the company, such as vendor for certain parts, etc.
Finding a faulty part could happen at any time over the courser of the day not just when we open a ticket. At the moment the RMA section requires us to write the customer name although a faulty part has nothing to do with a customer. It would be handy to have a simplified version of the RMA section, so that the technician could notice a broken or not working part, and just create an RMA for that part without having it linked to a specific customer or vendor. Also, it would be handy if when an RMA was raised for a part, it was removed from the inventory and flagged, and in another RMA flagged section (sometimes I have three faulty parts, all the same type and the inventory says three still here even though there are none). Then the techs can store them physically in another place, ready for return. Admin would get notified (like when there is a new part order added to the part section), and be able to print them as a file (export as CSV or email to the vendor). We always write of list of the faulty parts we send back to the vendor, the system could save us a lot of time just by doing this automatically. We always email it to the vendor and print it (like a checklist) and disclose it to the return package. It is necessary for customs check as well.
Necessary fields and flags:
- Created (flagged) by which technician/user and when.
- Field for notes (like: the screen faulty, there are lines on the LCD and the digitizer is not responding)
- See the list of RMA parts (optionally the vendor is hidden)
- There should be another column added to the inventory (RMA Qt.) so we sort and filter the parts in the inventory by RMA as well.Necessary for the admin:
- The Admin should be able to group them by vendor. Actually the way of the purchase order works is perfect. Four buttons is necessary:
Add All RMA Items
Add All RMA Items by this Vendor
Add All RMA Items by this Vendor (not on a previous RMA list yet)
Email to VendorAdding to this issue: it is no longer displayed that who made change in the inventory. The employee column in a Product Change History is empty.

Same issue here: "employees could easily be stealing or not being honest about damaging parts under the current set-up"
This has been a very big issue using the system since day one. Guy please hurry up with the update. of this section. -

this is really holding our business back to be honest. there's really no way to track inventory vs loss from RMAs without a way to tie an RMA to your inventory counts and subtract it out of inventory. employees could easily be stealing or not being honest about damaging parts under the current set-up. please update this! pretty please!

Yeah at this point the RMA has no real purpose because there are no reports that are generated from it. The system would work for one off orders but for anyone that carries a substantial inventory it is lacking.

I actually assumed that this was the case already, hopefully it will change.
At the moment it's messy because you just have to delete the individual items from the inventory and then fill out an RMA for them.
