Search Ticket Field
Just like we have the ability to search by customer, I would like to be able to search by ticket in a separate search box. Relevant data that would be included in the search query would include subject line, logs and custom fields if possible.
The new search is out, it handles tickets now

We are surviving with a custom search provider in google chrome ( URL: https://YOURREPAIRSHOPR/tickets?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q%5Bcustomer_firstname_or_customer_lastname_or_customer_business_name_or_customer_phone_or_subject_or_comments_body_or_textbox_results_cont%5D=%s&q%5Bstatus_not_cont%5D=Resolved&q%5Bstatus_eq%5D=&q%5Bpriority_eq%5D=&q%5Bticket_type_id_eq%5D=&q%5Buser_id_eq%5D=&commit=search )
with firefox you can quickly use the "add to search bar" extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar/hope it helps someone :)

It'd be very nice to have this option (maybe another search box next to the customer search box that is available sitewide).
99% of the time we are searching for tickets, instead of customers, so we have to go to the ticket search page, and then insert the ticket there. -

We would like this also. More so for knowledge transfers and resolution times. We often have to repeat the same fix for a client, but have to remember how to do it. Be great if we could search a ticket for a fix we did previously. Would take the emphasis having to rely on a particular tech to resolve an issue - we could search how it was fixed and sort it easily instead of waiting for said person to respond.

I want this as well. We use ticket numbers as points of reference most of the time, and shaving the extra 5 seconds off our search times (estimated 100 searches per day) would save us 40-50 man hours per year of waiting.

It would be best if it was on every page of repairshopr like the search customer field. I honestly have not tried the Ticket search on the ticket page, but that is one more step that we can avoid if it is on every page.
