We have been discussing gift certificates at our shop, and we would love to see a system within repairshopr to create and support them. I am not referring to magnetic strip cards, just a simple printable certificate. It would be wonderful to have this available for the upcoming holiday season.

I think the basic gift certificates would be a great start and maybe add the magstripe gift cards further down the line. It might also be neat to be able to track these basic gift certificates through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

For me it's more of an issue surrounding store credit. Since that is basically what a gift card is it would be better for me to have a solution that helps manage store credit. I have not been able to think through a solution but I think the "gift card" issue at this time could be an overhaul of the store credit feature. That could include printing off store credit barcodes that could be affixed to a sheet of paper/plastic.

I would like to see magstripe gift cards through vantiv. I think that would be great around the holidays for custom PC builds and peripherals. It could help drive a lot of business.

Please add the gift card support via Vantiv! We are using their program now and it is difficult to manage outside of RepairShopr. The backend support at Vantiv is great and they have a very affordable program. I think a lot of your users would be interested in it if you added to the platform.

I think basic gift certificates would be ideal. Not so much being able to print them but being able to track the balance on a serial number, maybe have it barcoded where RepairShopr keeps a list of the unique serial code attached to a discount (gift certificate, coupon, etc.). Then using the label printer print off the barcode and affix it to a pre printed card. That would be simple enough, no need for magnetic cards.

Along the same lines we often give out Gift Certificates a a donation for silent auctions and such. It would be cool to print out the certificates from RSr and have it track the "numbers" for those certs so when people come back in with them or call you would be able to find and keep track of how many of these gift cards/certificates are getting used.

We've found that less then 20% of these things ever get claimed.

It may be a nice touch if it was a gift card to be able to email that to the recipient. Also a way to capture another email address.

Gift cards with Mercury payment would be great! Could be used for custom PC builds and store credit.

Also Troy, we use your program for our music store and it integrates rather well. Gift Cards are excellent for donation use to school programs. I'd assume computer repair shops could also use them to donate to school in their town as a way to give back to the community and as a marketing tool.

This is a high priority for our business and may need to outsource if not on the agenda for 2016

I do see that their new merchant integration mercury has free gift card options. Not really tracking but it would be loaded onto the card for the customer to keep track of and we would scan it when processing a transaction. I like the idea mercury has so we are considering the move.
