Point of Sale Controls
Some things to improve the point of sale:
1-Deposits taken from customers do not appear in the Z reports (when you close the cash registers) nor shown in the daily payments report. It should be reflected in both because those are the reports that tell you the incoming money. Otherwise that money is out of sight. If I'm not the one in the register how would I know there was a customer deposit?In the POS where it says "Status" Open ( Close), the blue link that directs you to open/close the register leads to confusion. Need more custom Rate options
Currently we can set labor rates as an inventory item and with the new Contracts option we can set overrides for each customer. This is good but not great.
To compete with other PSA's out there I think that Rates need to be separated from inventory and contracts. For example having global rates and per customer rates, and having rules to calculate the rates automatically based on Work Types (tech, engineer) and job types. We could definitely capture a lot more billable time and higher priced work if these abilities were there.

Add asset to invoice
It would be helpful to be able to add an asset to an invoice without having to go to the customer profile to do so. The reason would be so that we could sell an extended warranty at the time of payment and be able to add their device quickly without having to click through multiple pages.

Support Articles Should List Date Last Updated
The tech support documentation should all have the date they were last updated. That can be helpful when trying to reference a new feature.

Collect Vendor Invoice Number on Purchase Orders
Add collection of Vendor Invoice number to the receiving/ finish portion of purchase orders.
The Vendor Invoice number is the most common reference used to communicate with vendors for both RMA processing AND accounting payment purposes.
Collecting a Vendor invoice number would also benefit CSV exporting of purchase details to accounting software.

Custom fields for phone numbers
Within the customer page and their listed phone numbers, the drop down menu that has "office,home, cell, etc" is not enough. With customers who have individual cell phones and other office lines and stuff, custom fields would be AMAZING. Please add a little field next to each number that lets the user just type in a custom name or description.

Search asset list by customer name
Asset manager allows a search by all other categories except for the customer's name. I know this can be found by looking at their profile but it would still be nice to be able to search a customer's name on the asset manager list.

Collapseable Customer Custom Text Fields
When using Text Area custom fields for customers, they make the customer information page incredibly long. It would be nice if the text area fields would be collapsed at first, then click an arrow or something to expand them to see all text in the desired box.

Place the date updated on the first inventory table
By placing the last "date updated" on the table when you first bring up the inventory or in search it would tell us when we last updated pricing data on an item. Right now it's a pain because I have to instruct people to call the suppliers every time we quote something that isn't an every day/week sale.
Having it right in the first table lets us see this without actually clicking on the item, saving us time when talking with the customer on the phone for price checks and things.

Somehow we could send a text message to customers through the system without having to open a ticket?
For the customer portal would be interesting to send any particular text for any information monent not meriting a ticket.

Add Attachments in Inventory for Digital Goods
It would be very useful to be able to attach a file to certain inventory products that are digital goods. You could also take it a step further and make it public facing once the customer pays for the product.

Add HotKeys to all Pages
Nerds love HotKeys.
Picture this:
- You are on a customer page
- You want to create a new ticket
- You type a simple character sequence i.e. 'n' then 't'
- BAM! New Ticket page for that customerThis could work for any function. Invoices, Estimates, Attachments.
Additionally, change the sequence for extra features.

Implement Daily Ticket Limitations
With our current ticketing system, we can put a cap or limit to the amount of tickets that can be created per day.
Any tickets created after the cap are defaulted to the following business day.
With RepairShopr's it seems that there can be an unlimited amount of tickets created on any given day.
For a small business, it can be overwhelming and get confusing, and I believe this would alleviate some of that. Thanks!

Creation of Optional and Required Invoice Line Items
All the customer to choose optional invoice line items on top of required items.
Example: Came in for an oil change, but would you like us to replace your wipers and filters why you're here?"

When selecting an asset on a ticket the window doesn't have enough space to show serial (unique id)

Auto-fill additional notification emails with technicians
It would be extremely helpful if during the New Ticket creation window in the section for additional notification emails on the ticket, if there was some auto-fill or menu selection option for assigning techs or other RS users to this field. We generally notify 2-3 techs of progress on a ticket, so having to copy and paste or type the email into this field each time is a bit arduous during ticket creation.

Adding ticket status near hidden comment entry
Would it be possible to add a drop down in a ticket dashboard near the hidden comment entry area? Ticket status update drop down is all the way at the top of page, techs easily forget to update ticket status after entering a hidden comment. There are drop downs near the comment entry field but the selections in the drop down menu do not match with ones in the drop down menu up at the top.

Developer Access, Programmer access mode
it would be nice to have a security group for a developer/programmer. I didn't see a way to build this with with is present.
It would be nice to allow a programmer or Developer access to template, API info, html info, templates, web portal setup and so one without any access to client data, other then maybe some sample data for testing.
We would like to hire a developer to make some changes to our templates and such..but need some control to do that in the future.
Also, some way to backup all that data and restore it. I see…

make estimate banner and mouse over for total and profit available to non admins
it would be great if Non- admins can see the estimate banner and able to see the mouse over when you mouse over total of invoice and see cost it would be a great sales tool for my sales people.
