Better Topaz machine options
I would like my customers to be able to see their signature on the Topaz machine. RIght now when they're signing they stop half way thinking they're doing something wrong because they don't see their signature on the Topaz device. Banks use a higher end Topaz machines which customers have become accustomed to, it actually displays information the the Topaz screen. I would like to have that same machine.
Hey everyone, I can confirm this device does show the signature as they are writing.
This device also works with our current integration, so it’s a pretty simple upgrade.
We are working on the newer topaz plugin and this device will also work with that configuration.

It was regarding them signing on the line. The backlight is fine as its part of the product features. We are not interested in coloring on the device but i thought this was a fix for that which is why we inquired (as well as the terms of service). No feedback was given since my message last year. We currently tell our clients to "sign anywhere on the blank screen". Now that clarification was made it may not be a bad idea to pull the video down as that is a little misleading. Its an important feature for us and it sounds like we are the minority based on the votes.

Chris - so they can't see "what they are writing" - or they "can't see a line to sign on" ?
The initial issue was when they wrote it didn't show the signature as they went, so they would stop half way and ask "is this thing on?"
That's what this issue was.
If you want a "line for them to sign on" - maybe draw one with a sharpie and a ruler?

Thanks for the feedback Troy. The unit we have listed below is the same thing but just larger screen and it does not show a line on the bottom for our clients. We have worked with Topaz a few times and uninstalled and reinstalled their software and plugins and still nothing.

There were 2 issues, if you bought the super cheap topaz for like $90 without the backlight, it didn't "draw a line" where the person was signing - and it frequently had customers wondering if it was working. (it was)
This is solved by buying a better device, like the 460 with backlight.
Then - we were experimenting with having a wizard with terms and conditions in there, and the signature box, and a logo, etc etc - but it was really unreliable in our testing so we shelved that work.
This "idea submission" was to address the first issue - and is still marked completed as that issue has a good solution.

That is a great question as it has never worked and no one has provided answers on this for over a year.

The device does not work yet. We have the t-lbk755 which is only slightly bigger and it does not show the terms but it does show the signature as the customer is signing it. The difference is only size and not how it operates so the outcome is the same.

so if i buy the model T-LBK460-HSB-R, it will work so that they can click to confirm that they agree to the TOS and sign their name, which will be electronically stored? can anyone confirm that this truly works?

I have tested this and I do not get the same results as you are. We have been able to get the signature to show up on the screen but do not see the signature line and the terms of service to click ok. Did I miss some settings on the website? I looked at the youtube video and it talked about the terms of service that can be changed but cannot find that as well. Let me know if there is an update that is needed to make this work. As commented before we have the Topaz T-LBK755-BHSB-R and it has always had the signature showing on the screen before this point but still do not have the options to click ok and show the signature pad. This was tested on the intake form and a payment screen. No luck
I look forward to feedback.

We currently have the TL755 USB/Serial unit connected and working. The only problem is because the screen is larger it makes the signature "squished". Who wants to do testing on this to see about putting the customer terms of service on it and then have then click accept terms???

We have a topaz unit coming and wold like to work with you on its integration with signature and display of the terms and conditions. from my understanding it does not require a driver but does required further integration with the sigplus.
Please let me know if you still interested in wirking with someone on this type of unit.

YES! every Customer has always ask and messes up on the Signature at our shop as well.... Its not showing up they say.... Its been a problem since i have had them... Love the Signature pads and capturing the signature to RS... But a signature pad that would show the signature as they sign would be SO much better.
