bundling or packaging items on the fly
preparing a bundle in advance for sale is nice maybe if you are selling flowers or coffee. in our business we often group several items together on the fly when creating an estimate for a customer. you should be able to select two or more items create a package. you should be able to view your cost and then insert a sale price for the package. when you print or email the quote the customer would see only the package price not the individual line item pricing.
Work has been underway on this and it’s nearing it’s release window of March 2021 (this month) pending final QA.

Troy Can we do this for 2018?

It would be nice if when the estimate or invoice prints, it shows each line item on the PDF...but with a bundle price. That way, customers see each item included in the bundle, but only see the bundle price.
I would recommend seeing the separate items be an option you can toggle on or off. That way, we can choose when we want to show all the items included in a bundle, or choose to just show one bundle item.

We need this bad!!! We build custom computers, and we need to be able to sell them at a bundled price.

We are solution providers but it doesn't mean we want to give away the recipe. Imagine I want recommend a backup strategy which might consist of a ish hdd a backup program and maybe even some labor for on-site setup. I dontvreally want the customer to see how much they are paying for the drive, the software and labor individually. If so they can go online and buy it themselves for $10 cheaper ... Instead, we insert a subtotal underneath, and a package on top. Once it's a package we can see our total cost and add a margin. When the customer sees the quote or invoice they see the items with no individual pricing just the package price.
Like when we quote a custom built pc... Or server All the line items appear but just the total pc price is shown.

This is brill ! It's like you get in the big stores... so i presume it would work like - we identify certain products/services to group (like virus removal service & antivirus purchase), we tag these in inventory and then if a customer comes in and pays for virus removal service, and they also decide to buy a decent antivirus (because theirs obviously failed!) then the price would automatically discount the bundle to whatever we have decided the combo deal should be... without having to manually reduce the price at the till. I wonder if it could also be extended to function as a 2 for 1 deal creator?
