Better Signature Capture
I would a way to send an email asking for a signature for things like Estimates, Invoices, Intake Forms, etc... I would also like it to have an audit trail of sorts.
Something more like RightSignature or Adobe Echosign. Maybe even a direct integration with one of these?

I have left and comeback, left and comeback. There are features that I love with repairshopr. However the signature features drive me crazy. Its the thorn in this apps relevance.
I find that their are features with repairshopr that I cant live without, but I never fully use the app as intake & contract sigs suck; they look and feel unprofessional.
Ive offered solutions many times, but maybe one more is what it needs.
here we go:
1) two options: 1st complex and 2nd is more simply but has the quirk of being subject to someone elses api.
a. go completely independent and develop an app that allows for terms to sync using an customer facing device such as phone or tablet
b. utilize existing 3rd party applications such wp-esig, or hellosign. wp-esig is integrated with woocommerce which is perk as repairshopr has chosen wp as its shopping cart integration.2) process logic - more logical process flow of how documents are presented and signed, such as breaking terms and conditions into agree steps. ---I will state again, the current process used by repairshopr does NOT meet the minimum requirements for a legally accepted electronic signature. DONT BELIEVE ME. Look at the compliance requirements of wp-esig app for woocommerce. You will immediately notice the difference.
3) just dreaming - ability to create product specific terms that require additional confirmation. Think of when your at the pharmacy and you get multple steps that gives you click to agree options. ***This feature allows you to eliminate unnecessary terms when they dont apply, but appends and attaches these terms when specific products and services are purchased.
Im going to make a separate idea for this as Im not sure if some comments are ever seen by admins, nor is there a way to promote comments. If you like my mentions, then look for Better Signature App in ideas

Ive been thinking of this need as well...but I would prefer to have a signature capture app. such as a client app, so that I can use a small footprint tablet that is customer facing to allow them to sign without having to turn my tablet or computer for them to use.
this could later be converted to have an emailable link that installs the client signature app on the clients device directly and...(hell, why not, can eventually become an extension of the marketr program that allows the user to stay abreast of promotions and their tickets/account. almost like a personal RS wallet app. ~just dreaming.

yeah i'm looking for the actual code to put in that will create a signature capture on that self service check in form. would you happen to know where to direct me for that?

Try http://yoursubdomain.repairshopr.com/self_services
I was actually referring to the page after the "New Ticket" screen, if you have "Intake Form" enabled in settings - but this works too if you are using a kiosk or something

Hey Troy,
Where can I find how to add that to my web integrated self check in form? Would love to know! Thx

Again, we do have signatures on intake forms already - this idea is just for a docusign type solution integration if I'm reading correctly.
We haven't seen the 'right' API quite yet, but still looking :)

legally we need a customers signature upon intake of their equipment. this is standard and i cannot even accept a repair without one. one on the customer check in form (web integrated) would also be ideal, below our terms of service.

I have been using Hellosign for awhile now. It would be awesome if there was some sort of integration with them.

Take a look at hellosign.com .. best price I've found for good e-signatures.

This would be PERFECT to ensure those estimate, invoice and intake forms are all legally binding .. in addition it would be helpful for contract, block, on going, MSP etc contract service management.

I was looking at HelloSign and it looked pretty good. The price was decent also.

HelloSign has an awesome API, easy integration and already works with google sign-in/apps and drive.
