Integrate with Office 365 Calendars
We use Office 365 for our techs, it would be nice to be able to integrate with office 365 calendars instead of using seperate gmail accounts for syncing with RepairShopr.
We are ready for some beta testers, we have one way sync ready to test. (outbound to office 365)
thanks for waiting!

We have just moved from Google Apps to Microsoft 365, this is now a critical issue for us. Could you please update us on this. Microsoft have updated their documentation as of April, would be good to know if this is now possible from your perspective and to have a date when this will be implemented. Obviously this is a large issue given how many votes there are so a high level of communication on it would be appreciated. Thank you!

Ryan, there is no other company on the internet doing this without an Outlook plugin for a reason - Microsoft really screwed up on this. We might get to this, it could easily be a year or two away if we have to build an Outlook Addin.

Hey Troy,
Are you saying that Microsoft released a REST API, but it requires 365 users to have an Azure server? Or are you saying they're REST API is a newer version that works differently than the type of API you were hoping for?
This is all a big part of a larger issue - Synchronization with not only the calendar in 365, but also the contacts, notes and tasks, too. I'm going to put that info into another feedback topic.
I really feel like this is becoming a critical issue for tons of RS users. We're now at 68 votes, not including users who haven't bothered to vote. I've actually reallocated some of my votes from this topic to others that seem more likely. What is the next course of action besides using work-arounds and sitting waiting wishing?

Thanks for the links. We've been working on this for a few months. Microsoft has made the worst possible integration path. What we've found is NOBODY is using the new REST API's because they actually require all of our users (you) to go to the azure portal, signup for an azure subscription, and configure an oauth provider app that can talk to your active directory. Unless we find a way around this, we aren't going to have an easy time building anything.

Can you make in interface with Outlook desktop version , similar to quickbooks. or a way to download import and export. Why not integrate with hotmail or outlook.com . They both have plug ins that sync with outlook .

I'm using GSyncIt and it is a workable solution. If there is no usable API for Office365 and the workaround is an add-in for Outlook...why not custom develop your own Outlook Add-in. For me, it's a bit confusing when I have the multiple calendars (Google and Office365) and sometimes the sync doesn't work because the RepairShopr isn't going to Google properly, and sometimes it's because GSyncIt is hung up on something or prompting about a duplicate or who knows what. I'd rather have an add-in that's reading the RepairShopr calendar directly and synchronizing it to my one and only Office365 calendar.

I feel that an Office 365 integration is on the horizon... ;P

Thanks Troy, this will be an awesome addition to RS. For all those in need... You can use a program called "Gsyncit". It allows for a full sync for FREE for 1 account (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc...). You can sync only the calendar if you want.
This is our current workaround until RS gets office365 sync.

@Ryan - this doesn't get completed because they had no web api :)
Good news though, they did just release a REST api a couple weeks ago - we are researching how to integrate it, if we can get the authentication worked out - this could be coming very soon

+10 on this .. the work around works for now but since we use (because we re-sell) 365 exchange it's not as fluid or as we would like - TWO way sync would be great so we could not only see it on our end, but share a cal with the RS system and have it populate items we might already have entered through Outlook.http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dn463784.aspx

EXCHANGE!!!! Yes, 365 too, but MS Exchange should be about the exact same to implement, maybe even easier because you can set public icals (I think 365 does that too actually). Anyway, YES, 365+Exchange integration and sync!!!
