Better Refund
I would like to see a better way to give a refund. The current way seems unprofessional. I would like to present my customers with a "receipt" not an invoice for -20.00.
This is live!

Would it be possible to be able to add a restocking fee to the refund process or be able to provide a refund minus a restocking fee? If that could all be done from the same process, that would be great!

Hey Ryan - we do plan to have a better refund process, but we are going to be really cautious about sending money out of your account.
I would suggest adding more techs the refund permission in authorize.net for now - it's a little ways out at best

Okay, starting to hate life every time we have to process a refund paid by credit card. The process is easy for cash, but only 2 admins have the ability to log in to authorize.net to process a credit card refund out of 13 techs. Any plans to allow negative invoices and negative amounts to be "paid" with credit cards, ie. crediting a customers credit card for returned items???

Honestly, that's what most chain stores do. Is it possible to open an existing invoice and add a line item for -1 of the item they need refunded? Then a charger for $40 can be washed by a -1 charger for -$40, and their balance could be $0... Still do need a proper way to do the process, but I wouldn't mind seeing the refund transaction in the invoice. Actually, it would be a great module to build into the customer profile. You can already see tickets, invoices, estimates, assets, etc.... just add a section for refunds... Boom!
