Better Multi-store Inventory Control Features
It would be nice if we could add an inventory or service item to the system and then specify the count at each location. And then when we look at inventory items or reports it would show us one item and the counts at each store.
As it is now we have to add the same item 3 times (once for each store) and there is no correlation between them.

Thanks for the comment Ryan, there are 2 primary goals in mind with the rebuild of the inventory system.
1. Proper multi-location - this means, hopefully obviously, you won't have to duplicate products. You'll have a product, and it can have quantities in different locations.
2. Serialization support - I don't know how this works, but people have asked for it, and we'll figure it out! Then, probably things like an optimized 'taking inventory' section, and about 20 other things we've heard from people over the years.
Hope we can get to it soon - could be a couple months though.

Since this is planned, I'd really like to know how this will be implemented. As of now, I really don't want to duplicate my inventory multiple times across several locations. Especially because if I want to change one item's price or description, I have to remember to change it at all locations that carry it (which is usually all of them).
Ideally, we'd be able to merge items with duplicate item names, add location names as used in the locations that have the item name, and apply the quantity on hand as per that location. But, even if we had to re-do an entire inventory tally to adjust quantities on hand, at least it will work.
Bottom line is this is a big roadblock on getting our locations up and running 100%...
