Seperate Contacts under a customer (i.e. multiple people from the same business)
We have several companies we work with, but we deal with their employees directly when they have issues.
I think you should have the ability to add multiple contacts under the same company. Ideally the way this would work best for us, would be when creating a new ticket under CompanyABC there should be a drop down box specifying which contact you would like to use (or being able to add a new one). The contact would only need a separate Name, Phone Number, and e-mail field, but the address and such would pull from the company.
This way we can just click on CompanyABC and see all invoices and send them out the customer accordingly.
This is now live for all users! You can turn this on by clicking “Enable Multiple Contacts” in Admin Settings. You will then find a “Contacts” section on the Customer Detail screen where you can add multiple contacts. These contacts can be selected when you create a new ticket.

Hey everyone,
I know this is marked as completed, but if you are still experiencing limitations with the sub-contacts system (only two phone numbers, no CID lookup integration, etc.) I've created a new topic regarding upgrades to the Contacts system as a whole. Please check it out here and vote if you agree:

The current use of the phone number as a unique identifier is problematic. A family, or a Dr.s office can have many people at the same location that are contacts aka alternate contacts, that we are authroized to work with or talk to about the ticket and its issues. As of now we see no way to allow the same contact number on multiple people at that same location.

Zendesk handles this with 'organisations' You can have it automatically put people under an organisation based on their email domain.

This feature is a must. We already have the business field, it should link all clients with the same business to the same client.

I would like this too, but allow for multiple addresses as well because some customers have different physical and mailing addresses.

I like this. It is a separation of business clients and residential clients.

This would be a great feature, it would be nice to have the business as the "Customer" and then have contacts under that customer.
