We also would like a place for notes on the invoice. We currently have NOTES as a line item but it looks silly and is not always seen by the customer.

Still really would like a notes section for customers (not internal--a communication to customer). :(

Addendum: just to save others time, no the tag {{invoice_note}} does not work, apparently it doesn't exist for some reason. Not yet anyway. That would really solve the problem.

@Troy: format of an invoice is better if all the math is lined up and easy to see at a glance. Notes that are long disrupt that, bad formatting. Long notes need a place for when there's no ticket.

I just spent half an hour messing around trying to figure out the tag to get the "Tech Note" to show up on the invoice... because it isn't labelled 'Private Tech Note' on the entry form, so it must be a note to put on the invoice, right?

I often prefer simple clean line items with an elaboration of work done in the notes, it's more customer friendly. Without a ticket I can't figure out a way to do that, and some jobs a ticket just isn't necessary.

HI, is there a better way to add customer notes onto and invoice, and prints on the invoice. Without having to add it to the product description. Since, I want to leave notes on what work was performed in their office or house on the invoice, so the customer can see what the tech did on their computer/network.

@jim - if the note is for your customer, put it in a product description. Those can be as long as you want and they format really well.

So the solution to being able to leave an informative note for our customers is a tech note that we CAN'T print on the invoice?

Kind of at a loss for words here on how that could possibly be a viable solution.

I agree, there should to be a section on the invoice for notes, that can be printed on the invoice.
In our case we sell pre-paid blocks of time. I like to leave a note for the customer stating the remaining funds they have left. It could just be a small section at the bottom of the invoice.

this would be nice having it directly in the invoice instead of making 2 extra clicks.. esp when you want to add serial numbers to products sold.

Would rather have a notes section just like tickets have (Internal and customer facing). This would be extremely helpful so that if we receive a payment on an invoice and there is something that needs to be done (products ordered or delivered, etc), the notes are right there and can also be printed on the invoice. The "Tech notes" are kind of hidden as they blend in with the rest of the invoice details and are several steps to update.
