Project Management
I was wondering if you were looking at adding a project management section for the software? Ideally I'm looking for something that I can keep track of all my larger jobs, the status I'm at with them, equipment used and possibly a timeline.

I have large install projects that can span more than a month with a ton of different elements. Usually installs on new construction. Just did a sports bar with Audio, Video Matrix for 40 TVs and networking security and Point of Sale installation. We ran over 9,000ft of cable in this sports bar, installed audio server rack and all equipment and hung all the TV's provide to POS system. We bill at stages of the job being complete. Not having a project management function on here is the only reason I'm looking at other solutions.

For very basic project management - say where you want to follow a documented number of steps etc there is the Worksheets function in a ticket.

A project management area is definitely needed in RepairShopr. It is one of the biggest features missing that would make RepairShopr a complete solution for busy work environments where you have a lot of ongoing projects that span days or weeks and where a work order/ticket just doesn't cut it.
A customizable Kanban style board where you can track the many moving parts of a project is a must to include to do's, assigned, in progress, waiting on parts, time tracking (like you do in a work order), etc. It is very easy for a project to go off track and become unprofitable or blow up the scope of work when you have disconnects between project management and your billing system. I hope we will see this in the near future as it is forcing my firm to look at competitors that already offer this feature. We love RepairShopr but we desperately need this feature natively in your solution. :)

TOTALLY AGREE. I have several projects I work on at a time and I think having a project section where you could keep track of progress, materials used to bill, tasks assigned and so forth would be great. Being able to convert items purchased for a project to an invoice, basically like the ticket section would be a time and life saver

A lot of new business customers need to be on-boarded and this may involve multiple tasks for multiple techs in a set sequence, each task is in itself a ticket assigned to the project and also the ability to make any ticket mandatory (cannot progress without completing it) would be good

There needs to be a way to do the following:
1) Lay out the steps required to complete the repair (Order new LCD screen, Order new hinges, Received LCD, receive hinges, replace the LCD, replace the hinges, complete system repair, return to customer). This project management process would walk the techs through the steps, i.e. Order parts, receive parts, repair system)
Ideally once the parts are received the system would be next on the list for repair.

That would be excellent if you could add this.

We would like this feature as well.

I like this idea as well. Or at least integrate with something like basecamp or other web based Project software.
