Completed Bundled Item = New Asset
How about the function to, build a bundle which consists of multiple computer parts to build one whole computer. All the parts would be tracked from a purchase order, to the store, into the computer, and to the customer.
If when you complete this bundled item, it will add itself into inventory (this way we can transfer computers from to store)
However you assign this inventory item as an "asset" instore, that way when you sell this computer to a customer, it automatically assigns as an asset.
This would offer complete tracking and we really need it when building computers. Let me know what you think please.

Can Repairshopr provide an update to this planned idea of being able to bundle Assets? The original response is more than 2 years old.

I like this Idea. Plus the ability to add a serial number to your bundle.
This way you can have pre built computers sitting on the shelf with a unique serial and just attach it to the customer when they want to purchase it. -

We also need to be able to include a warranty certificate with the bundle. Currently, warranty certificates cannot be added to a bundle.

I agree, we are looking at RS, but like all the Service Desk products, most fail getting Parts, Inventory and Assets mixed up, I see it this way...
1. you have a parts and suppliers list
2. you buy parts and any to your inventory (with seprate serial numbers)
3. build from your inventrory to make an assetyou should be able to search for a serial number therefor giving a history...
why is this not adopted?
