Warranty System / Assets
I would like to be able to add / track warranty's from the assets tab. Also I would like to be able to include more information like serial #'s.
The current "PDF Warranty" doesn't work well as it does not auto scale to the amount of text you have in your warranty template. (mine is large since it includes terms and conditions).
It would be nice if we could manually edit or enter the certificate #

I'm voting for this feature too. We're just setting up our RepairShopr account and I have added 200 assets that we support out in the field. Many of them are still under factory warranty and I'm looking for a good way to create a "Warranty" and then link this to the asset with start and end dates.

I think everyone here is spot on... We are a manufacturer of electronic devices and we need to record the purchase date, the serial number and generate repair orders, and track warranty claims, ... "customer driven claims to us", and "our claims to our vendors. The approval concept would be nice to, allowing our customers to claim warranty, us either deny, or approve... in the case of approval, request our vendors to approve it the claim. I have a ton of ideas and it seems I am not the only one.

Maybe a bit of a stretch but we have to add warranty information for the customer and then request authorisation form a third party, a manufacturer, having an ability to copy someone in on the warranty or send this as a request / link that can then access / tick authorised ( to authorise the repair) and add any other relevant info would solve a big problem for us.

Maybe even a system to check current warranty status in the customer panel with cert or serial #.
