Allow Customers to Update Their Billing Info
I would love for my customers to be able to log into their profile and view/edit any of their contact information, especially as it relates to billing. It would also be great if they could view/edit/add payment methods (PayPal, credit card(s), ect).
As a bonus it may also be cool to see a simple check box of "save card on file" when customers are paying their invoices via credit card online.

I would love for my customers to update their info, for example when a customer moves or wants to use a different email address or phone number. One situation that I've found to make this a valid option is that if we intake a customer over the phone there is the chance that some info would be recorded incorrectly. Giving customers the opportunity to correct any typos on my part would be worth the risks that have been pointed out.
As Ryan has pointed out, allowing customers to delete/add bogus info is not a good idea. However, if a simple log of actions on a customer record could be kept (like with most anything else in RS) this would nullify Ryan's valid point. This way, if a customer changes/deletes their info we can go back and see what was there before the change.

Any movement on this? I'm wasting so much time and resources keeping CC info updated for our monthly residential customers! They really need to be able to log into their portal and update their saved info on Vantiv. It should auto-notify them a month before the card expires, auto-notify them when a recurring declines, allow me to one-click from their account to ask them to go update, and every notification from above should include a link to their portal.

This is definitely something that would be helpful, especially for credit cards. We just switched to RepairShopr and we are having to call all of our customers to set up their stored cards.

You should be able to make it so they can't delete their account. If all fields are blank deny action. Name should be correct from first entry and should not be updated to the customer.
Also, there should be a history report of the changes that the customer would make should they put in bogus information.
Also, for their payment options, once added, there has to be a second verified account before the first one can be deleted. If they wish to cancel payments, they would have to call us to force delete the information. -

I wouldn't mind a simple way for people to input suggested changes... (maybe there is, I'm new here)

unfortunately, this could also enable customers to update their information with bogus info. Like if they don't want to get follow up emails, they may update their email address in order to opt out of email communication, rather than doing it the right way with the opt out button. Also, they may delete their address if they feel like we don't need it, when we may in the future...
