Format phone number when entering new customer
Simple UI enhancement, should be incredibly easy to implement.
When you enter a phone number on the "New Customer" page, it is just a bunch of numbers - hard to read. It looks like "5556923845".
It would be much better if it was formatted like this: "(555) 692-3845"

+1 for proper DID formatting. Even 888-555-1234 would be great!

Maybe take a look at Connectwise and see how they handle this format issue, as they too are global. This would be a great time saver. Also a utility that would auto format the numbers already in Repairshopr.

Please keep in mind that Repairshopr is global, and not just in the US. What makes more sense is to be able to format the numbers yourself through settings by using codes. i.e. (nnn) nnn-nnnn and in my case nn nnn nnn.

But it needs to be regional. In Aust, we format our numbers
Mob: 04xx xxx xxx
Ph: 0x xxxx xxxx

Repairshopr also discards any hyphens when used in capturing a contact number.
This affects exporting the customer list to CSV for use in other CRM and email programs.
When a CSV file is imported, all leading zeros are discarded e.g. 821234567 unless the numbers are separated by a hyphen.
The contact numbers without the leading zeros cannot be used with dialing apps as the number should be 082-123-456 in order for it to be valid.
