reporting
Instead of trying to sell us add on's like DOMO how about repairshopr get it's act together and give us some meaningful reports .. for a starter every report should have an export facility so excel can be used to interpret the data. Basically I have bought into repairshopr and don't see why I should need to pay for an add on that repairshopr should be doing!
Daniel – Domo has spent many millions of dollars building amazing technology to pull that off. We could have added a report here and there, and would always have people complaining – or – buy domo and integrate.
Domo was very expensive, we are going to continue losing money on it. We added it for those people that need more powerful reporting because we would never have been able to build something as nice as they have.
Just like we won’t build accounting, so we integrate QB and Xero.
In the MSP space there are reporting systems out there that people pay a lot of money to hook into the big PSAs. We were able to accomplish the same type of reporting for a fraction of the price – and we are proud of it.
The going rate for a reporting system like what we are giving in domo is closer to $150/mo at the “Repair Shop” level. What a deal!

DOMO looks like a great tool but it doesn't seem to be much value at this time. Nothing of value seems to be working, we have blank items in DOMO with no labels, missing data identification, lots and lots of issues. I'm ok with DOMO if it would work and I think all the exporting functions would be good. It doesn't do much good if you can't export data to use in other presentations.
Right now....I have been paying for DOMO and only continue to do so in the hope that will be collection data and of value soon. Right now....We've all but given up on it.

Gabe -- Have you looked at the Monthly Stats in Domo and the Chart for "Invoices Sum by Month"?
https://www.evernote.com/l/AAwitk02Fh9EoIlmgQEwkhnDKvOPstvzsCg
You can click on that chart and click on an individual month bar in the chart. That will drill down to the list of invoices that are included there. Is that what you're looking for? There's a definite challenge here in terms of providing data to suit all use cases (cash vs. accrual, invoices vs. payments, reporting partial payments vs. final payments, invoice dates vs. invoice due dates vs. payment dates, etc.)
Regarding updates on what's released, we've been sharing all the updates and features that are launched approximately every couple weeks and are posting that as an in-app notification and reposting on our blog. Definitely open to other suggestions on how we can do this better! We've been shipping a lot of beta features in the last two months that just got fully released so we'll have our next update this coming week on everything that's new. Thanks again for the feedback.

I think Domo platform is pretty cool but none of the charts really give me easy data to read. I just want simple. I want to see how much money is coming in and be able to play with that data. RS has so many different ways to come with up with numbers, we always see different data.
In the Admin portal is says how much money comes in for a month. Why can't domo have the same report that you can drill down on and see the details of how RS came up with that number. On top of that, it would be nice to compare the current month to last years months so find trends or slow months.
I am paying for the Domo and if there is a way to request charts, please let me know.
$20/month for that type of data is NOTHING! So thank you for that.
The only thing I think lacks on RS end is communicating changes and features. Feature Friday is a great start but what's the point of implementing things if the bulk of the users don't even know it exists. I would love to see some sort of real time online meetings we can get on to learn how we can save time. There's a lot of value there.

"we are doing a lot of meaningful development in Domo"I think that statement quantifies exactly what Daniel is trying to say. Domo costs the users more money. More money that not all users are willing to or even able to pay.
I have looked into Domo and given what it would add to our platform, for us, I don't feel that it has enough value.
If we had more staff and/or more locations I think that may be another story.
Also, I think the data that Domo is working with could be better and some of that is on us and the way we use RS and some of that is on RS and how its is designed. That statement could read a completely different way: , We are doing a lot of meaningful development. In Domo.
On a accompanying note, the most attractive feature of Domo (to us) is the feature to export the data as a PowerPoint show BUT so far that feature of Domo has never worked. The button is there but if ever we try to use it it just says the feature is not currently functional.

Also @Daniel - tell me which reports don't have CSV formats that you want, that's probably as easy add. (You might be the first person wanting it, and if you don't ask for it....)

@curtis - we are doing a lot of meaningful development in Domo. Developers have to build connectors, send data to Domo, and build sql queries to run the charts we have over there. We bought Domo to save us like 5 years of dev time in getting to the point where we can add powerful charts quickly. If you request a new chart Robert can usually get it into Domo immediately. It takes a developer about 10x as much time to add a report into our app because of the other considerations involved.
There will be more reports in the app, but probably not the same ones we've already added to Domo. They will be things that make sense in the app, like on the tickets dashboard (that came after Domo btw), and the leads sales pipeline stats (that also came after Domo).

This is exactly the same thought I had when Domo integration was announced. I am sure that this will be the end of any meaningful development on reporting.
