Asset Custom Fields - Date Fields

Is it possible to make the date fields in Asset Custom Fields a calendar pop-out like the Custom Field Type (date_field) in the ticketing section?

    This was added and I like it for using a custom field type for estimated time of repair and then click on the cal. Although the date does not input when clicked anymore. I have submitted a tech ticket to customer service about this issue I have. If I manually type the date it will work.
