Better Quickbooks Import options
We have been using QuickBooks for a very long time and over the years inventory items have come and gone. As you could imagine, our QuickBooks has several inventory items that we no longer sell. We imported our inventory items from QuickBooks initially and disabled all the items that we were not going to use. We then went through, one by one, each item and selected the "Linked QuickBooks Item" to match the category in QuickBooks we wanted. This took some time but we can deal with that. Our problem happened when we needed to add another QuickBooks category (We are taking donations for a local charity and needed to be able to distinguish our donation totals in QuickBooks). To do so, we had to go to QuickBooks, add the category, then re-send the items to RS. This re-added all the disabled items and changed the "Linked QuickBooks Item" back to its original default. We then had to go back and disable all the unneeded items and again change the "Linked QuickBooks Item" to the correct QuickBooks category.
Any way... It would be great if one of two things could happen.
1) allow us to import an updated "Linked QuickBooks Item" list from QuickBooks instead of importing all items from QuickBooks
2) Let us update the "Linked QuickBooks Item" field through the import / export option so we can just update the spreadsheet (You can currently do this function with Zero accounting).
It would also be nice if QuickBooks imports would not over write RS inventory item fields (don't let it change its "Linked QuickBooks Item" field and the "Item Disabled" field). This way we don't have to re-update all items every time we re-import items from QuickBooks.
