Allow Attachments on Inventory Items
Hey guys, I have many items that require datasheets or other files with them. I need to include these on every estimate I send a customer (B2B) with those items attached.
I'd like 2 things
- Ability to store these files (usually PDFs) on the inventory item itself. This would let me easily store and the documentation.
- Ability, predicated on the above, to easily add this documentation when I'm sending an Estimate with this item on it. For instance, being able to go up to Email Estimate and having the files available with check boxes to include if I'd like.
This should help any company who is trying to win bids or to convince a customer to buy a product, as well as companies in more technical fields such as mine (safety equipment repairs and sales) where the customer often requires datasheets and brochures as part of the quote. It also helps us to formalize our business systems, as there's less chance of them forgetting to attach the correct documents to an estimate if they're right there automatically brought in by the items.
Thanks for taking the suggestion. I know the major needs of the system come first, but this is something I could see helping everyone. Please let me know if you'd like additional clarification.
