time clock ip addresses
would be handy if the time clock would log the ip address used to clock in.
I use it to monitor staff but at the minute, if they are running late, they can just clock in using their phone and Im none the wiser about them being late to work.
My till has a fixed IP address so this way I could tell they logged in via the till

Most time clock software posts the IP Address from where the tech clocks in, they also allow for blocking clock-in except for certain IP's.

I actually would have to agree with Troy here. He is right. It's true we need a way to track our technicians. But these are TECHS we are talking about. If they are true technicians, there are always ways around the system.
Unless it's a fingerprint reader...

Someone could also remote into their work computer from their phone using teamviewer and clock in - we just don't get into this type of security because it gives you a false sense of security.
You should always have policies in place so staff knows they will be in trouble if they commit fraud against your timeclock by clocking in while they are not actually there, etc.

I can't believe that this is not a standard feature. Someone can clock in/out from their cellphone and unless we were checking every time someone came in or out, it would go by unnoticed.
