Introduce Multiple Barcodes under a single UPC/ Product ID
Many products have multiple barcodes on them. Obviously there is the UPC (That should always be unique but with one supplier we have can and does change regularly). Then there may be, for example, a serial number, a product ID or various other ones.
We came to you from WASP Barcode Point of Sale. The ONLY thing they did better than you guys was allow a UPC plus several other searchable barcodes per item.
This would be marvellous if you could allow alternative searchable barcodes Pleeeeze:D

I FINALLY FIGURED OUT A WORKAROUND FOR THIS!
Lets say you have 2 different 64GB Flash drives with different UPC's at the same price and want them inventoried under one item:
First, make a Placeholder Item of just "Flash Drive - 64GB" or whatever you would like to call it and have it have the first UPC number. When you order new flash drives this is the inventory items you put on the PO no matter what the UPC is.
When you get a NEW UPC for new flash drives, add it as a 1 item bundle with the same name as the original item and add the new UPC code to the bundle.
Now you have 2 UPC codes that take out of the same inventory item. Like I said, its a work around but it works. The 2 UPC's take out of the same stock item and look identical on the invoice/receipt.
Hope this help...

It's 2020 and this is sorely needed still.

i need this feature!! i can add multiple vendor SKU's but that doesnt help when it comes to POS and barcode scanning. Suppliers change the barcode on a product and the only way i can manage it is by creating a completely separate item in inventory.
Surely it can't be that hard

Just figure this out - You can enter/scan multiple UPC codes for each product, just separate them with a comma. The system will find the product if you scan either one. ;)

Our previous POS program offered multiple barcodes as well. It was nice not having multiple items listed several times with different UPC codes. Starts to muddy up the inventory.

I would like to see this implemented as well. We have phone screens that come to us from different vendors, and come in different grades, but are all classified as a single item. Each of these items will come with a barcode already on the box from the vendor. We like to use the vendor SKU because it makes it easier to reorder and track purchases from that vendor. We need multiple UPC's for a single item, or vendor SKU's to be searchable. Thanks!!
