Require reason for not charging tax in customer profile
I would love to require a reason for not collecting taxes from a customer in their profile. When another shop purchases an item from us we generally would not charge taxes if they have a sales tax certificate, I would like to indicate that as the reason for not collecting taxes and require their tax certificates and a means of indicating the expiration date.
As a work around of course we try to remember to set them up as a tax free customer and use custom fields for the tax cert and expiration date but honestly many times we do forget in the flow of things. having this information required would help mitigate errors on our part.

We need to be able to designate why an amount is tax exempt We do work for tax exempt businesses and some labor is tax exempt. We need to specify the difference on the Sales Tax Report.

I like this idea. Would be handy for our reporting. My accountant gets nervous when we don't charge sales tax for things, and likes to know the reasons why.
