Sticky ticket history notes
It would be a good idea to be able to create a/or sticky ticket note(s).
This would allow any ticket note to be marked sticky so it sits at the top of the ticket history. The reasons for this would be varied, but in our example, we often have customers sending a ticket note to use a different delivery address, or, some other important info that we do not want buried.
I was thinking maybe having an option to make any history entry as sticky, a check box so it can be made sticky and they released if and when it is no longer required. Sticky notes could be highlighted so it is clear they are sticky and not the latest entry.
Examples;
We have some tickets that are very long history and the technicians sometimes have to read lots of notes to get a history overview, this would allow us to either create a ‘current ticket summary’ and make it sticky, summarising the ticket so far. If there are any more developments, we can ‘UN sticky it, create a new ticket summary, and make that sticky.
We have customer send us a ticket message asking for a product to be sent to an alternative address. This info is ideal to be made sticky so technicians know there is a critical change in ticket circumstance that would easily be missed if not checked through each time.
Maybe it would be good to mark any number of items sticky, then giving each a priority so a number of important history notes can be brought to the top for easy identification.
My though is that any ticket history that is made sticky is ‘duplicated’ for the top, that way, even in you still go back over the history, the sticky note is still listed in the correct order but have some indicator to show it is a sticky ticket.
This would be a really useful feature to us and maybe others.
