We've had a growing issue with our estimate building.

All our technicians have the capability to build estimates. Depending if they're doing a repair, or building a quote for a new PC build; they create estimates.

The issue I've been having however, is that customers have been able to 'see' these estimates while they're being built. O_o

Not all our customers are savvy, however, the ones that have been using our services for some time, know how to access their portal... and typically when we tell them an estimate is on it's way... they'll go to the portal and await for it there. (Seemingly faster than waiting for the email, BECAUSE THEY CAN SEE IT WHILE IT'S BEING MADE!!)

So; that's been problematic for us, because our technicians are not allowed to mark-up pricing. (That's managements task). So now we have customers seeing our estimates, while they're being built, at base-pricing (or no pricing)... and then they're seeing the 'estimate' get marked-up right in front of their eyes.

So; as you can imagine. This has been... bad for business. (-_-)

Now; I am aware of a 'Draft' option. Which is great. Having my technicians HIT that option before they start to make their estimates have been 50/50.

So; the goal here would be to have (at least the option), 'Drafts' for a estimate, be the default setting in RS. I'm sure there are cases where having estimates NOT be private initially, is ok? (Maybe)... but I can't think of any.

I'm guessing most RS users don't even know there estimates are wide open for view, by their clients who have access to their portal. (Which is linked is ever previous invoice / estimate email ever sent.

One more thing... we normally create 2-3 estimates per customer requesting a new PC build. Entry-Medium-High End, depending on their needs. So; this of course, even more-so creates issues for us, when we decide to send, say, only the Mid-Grade estimate option... and the customer calls and starts to question what the CHEAPER option is. (Then I go around asking everyone who the heck sent that... only to realize, it was a random / test estimate sitting in the user's profile.)

So. Estimates... IMO, should be ' DRAFT by DEFAULT ' (or at least have an option in settings to toggle if someone wants that on, or, off.)
