Workflow Clunkiness- More Streamline for Deposits on Diagnosis
How do you propose to show people the terms and conditions that they have to sign on intake? I know you have the topaz signing things but with those.. on intake they will not see anything that they are accepting terms and conditions for. They will only sign the topaz and not be able to see and scroll past the terms and conditions and then sign.. The only way I can think it would work would be 1 of 2 ways.
- put a separate touch screen monitor on the other side of my computer (facing the customer) so the customer can see the terms and conditions on the monitor in front of them, they scroll through the T&C and then sign
- Do the intake form though an iPad, Once we start the initial intake Ticket form to start the ticket.. have them scroll past and sign the terms and conditions (since iPad does not take payment) then go to the computer and pull up the ticket that was just created, go to deposit and get them to pay. (if they pay with a CC they will then sign on the Topaz to authorize charges. When they return to pick up the repair we will pull the ticket up on the computer (not iPad) and process the rest of the charges.
Both ways seem like they are kind of clunky in the workflow. It seems like I’m clicking in one place then swapping to an iPad, then back to the computer etc. It seems like its messing up the whole streamline workflow process like that. Is there a better way to go about it?
I will give you the rundown of how my store works (as well as most of the computer and cell phone stores that I know of) and you tell me the best way to operate RS so it works for that workflow.
Hey customer walks in the door they have a broken iPhone six, they are a new customer, And we cannot see a picture on the screen. So how the workflow works as we will tell them the diagnosis is $25 and that have to be paid upfront. Within will go into repair shopper and create a new ticket. Once we finish with the initial ticket set up we then have to either drag the window that RS is open in to the external touchscreen monitor to show the customer the terms and conditions they're signing for.. Then wants and they sign the terms and conditions then we have to go and take a deposit from the customer and get them to sign again. Now if for using an iPad to do this we'll have to start initial set up through an iPad get them to sign it by handing them the iPad then once they assign the initial ticket release form then we take the iPad back from the customers and then start clicking around on the computer so we can take the deposit swipe their card on the Topaz signing thing.
Optimally we would like to have it all done through one System rather than having to swap back-and-forth from iPad computer. As well as swapping from ticket screen to invoice or deposit etc.
Ideas of how to solve: integrate payments into the ipad app so I can do it all through the ipad.
(side note) It would be nice to have an integration for automated "Ticket Label" to be printed on creation of ticket. That way I can just stick the sticker on the device and my Tech's can just scan the barcode to pull up, identify and start diagnosing/ Repairing.
