Inventory Time Saver
Let me start by saying this is the best program I have used for Work Orders, POS and Marketing, I absolutely love it. I currently plug RS into Quickbooks Online. I recently moved from SOS Inventory/QBO and before that we were Sage 50 Business Vision for years.
Regarding the inventory. It is already terrific with the Parts/Inventory Module being connected to the Ticket and Invoices. This is very efficient to receive the Inventory and convert your ticket to an invoice as apposed to entering it once to Order then again to Receive then again to Invoice.
My suggestion is for the Receiving of the Inventory. It would be a terrific time saver to have the ability to receive the Inventory in the Parts Module. And with that ability, add QTY, location, cost and sales price as an option. Generally speaking the latest pricing info for the parts are on the Bill of Lading/invoice, so it would make sense to update it as it is being received. I know it will save so much time.
As it is now I receive the inventory in Parts Module, then go to the Inventory Module to "Take Stock" function, then if I want to update the price, cost and location I have to edit the item back in the Item Modify.
Also, when I use the Parts module to order stock, it doesn't seem connected the inventory. For example when I enter a new part number into the Parts Module and convert it into a ticket and invoice, the part # gets converted automatically on the invoice, as does the price, but by adding it to the Invoice, it doesn't appear to reduce the inventory. I think this is because its a new item.
I feel like if there was an option to add Parts Order to inventory as you enter it to make the order it would be a real time saver.
