Purchase Order allowing to intake not 100% working inventory.
So there often comes times we get large orders of devices especially, all the same or different doesn't matter, but often some do not work or are completely salvaged for parts. I'd love to see a separate "Inventory" page for broken devices or list of parts we have that we salvaged from incoming inventory that came in broken. This could be integrated into the PO system as well as the original Inventory page. This way, as we receive the inventory, we can choose either "Refurb Inventory" or "Inventory." This allows us to get a much better number as far as what kind of assets we really have on hand and where our dollars went, as well as a good management system for broken items.

Agreed. Tear apart inventory (the ability to break an item into inventoried "used" parts and make whole items out of individual parts), linked to purchase order AND to customer purchases is desperately needed. But this needs to be part of an entire refurb module, the "Customer Purchases" module is ridiculously limited (its really just a list of things you have bought, that cant even be sorted or filtered!). A refurb module needs to be created that allows purchasing, internal ticketing (including allocation of refurb jobs to techncians and the ability to add parts to the refurbs), and then conversion to inventory. The way RS deals with serial numbers also needs reassessing. Customer purchases serials can be converted to inventory items, but the serials are seperate from the ticketing system (i.e. if you sell an inventoried serial to a customer, that serial doesn't show as an asset on that customer). Serials should flow from "Customer Purchase" to Refurb Ticket to Inventory item and then to a customer when the item is finally sold!

You could create a category in the inventory called 'Used Parts' and then just add them in there?

Yes! We thought about selling laptop parts on ebay as we usually wind up with a back room full of them as we are a recycle center. I thought about making a spreadsheet for inventory. It would be AWESOME if Repairshopr tracked both new and used inventory so we could keep all the info in one place!
